Tigo Energy announced a new line of energy products under the GO brand. The GO product line from Tigo provides energy solutions based on modular components that are intuitive and flexible to install and are optimized to work together. The first residential market products to be released under the GO brand for the U.S. market are the Tigo GO ATS with generator support and the Tigo GO Battery. The Tigo GO ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) serves as the central hub for managing power loads and sources, including solar, a battery system or a generator. The Tigo GO Battery is an expandable energy storage system that can be configured for time-of-use coverage as well as partial or whole-home backup power.
With the needs of system owners and installers in mind, GO products from Tigo deliver advanced features and performance with industry-leading commissioning time and simplified fleet management. The first two Tigo products released under the GO brand are:
GO ATS: Now with generator support, the GO ATS provides dynamic energy resilience for customers with backup power needs beyond battery systems. The device is the central hub for managing power loads and sources, including solar, a battery system or a generator. The GO ATS can isolate a building’s electrical system during a grid outage and enables home energy system integration with generators up to 24kW capacity for additional backup power options for residential energy systems. A two-wire start connection simplifies generator integration and provides control from the Tigo EI App, including automated startup and manual override. The GO ATS enables dynamic, customizable interaction between energy sources and loads, with maximum flexibility for energy utilization preferences. Compatible with all Tigo MLPE products, the GO ATS requires no sizing match between generator and MLPE capacity and is compatible with third-generation 3.8-kW, 7.6-kW or 11.4-kW Tigo inverters.
GO Battery: Featuring high density and high surge power with up to six modular 5-kWh-incremented building blocks, the GO Battery provides 2.5-kW continuous power per module, for configurations up to 30 kWh per enclosure. An advanced Battery Management Unit (BMU) automates battery discovery to streamline the setup process and delivers NEM3 functions like forced discharge. Certified for UL9540A, GO Battery enclosures can be either floor or wall-mounted and offer best-in-class installation options for maximum space savings. When combined with the Go ATS, GO Battery systems can be charged from solar, the grid, a generator or a configurable combination thereof.
With only three devices required for installation and compatibility with many two-wire start generator models, installers need only deploy a Tigo inverter, a GO Battery, the GO ATS and a generator, and only run a single conduit between the generator and GO ATS.
When combined with a Tigo inverter and Tigo TS4 MLPE devices, the Tigo GO ATS and GO Battery comprise a comprehensive energy system that delivers confidence through energy resilience, control and quality. Tigo provides advanced system control through the web-based Tigo Energy Intelligence Solution and Tigo EI smartphone app. For installers, Tigo delivers intuitive and flexible installation and modular components designed to optimize space efficiency, commissioning time, and fleet operations and maintenance.
“As homeowner preferences for energy security evolve, so must the ability of installers to offer ever more sophisticated solutions, and our GO products are an important new addition to the installer toolkit,” said Jing Tian, chief growth officer at Tigo Energy. “At Tigo, we believe that sophistication lives at the intersection of technical capability and elegant design, and with GO products this manifests as a system that delivers management and prioritization with simple installation and setup.”
