Solar tracker manufacturer Soltec revealed a new foundation option for its SFOne single-axis solar tracker systems called 4×4. The mounting solution is designed to help single-axis solar trackers adapt to more terrains and locations while reducing land preparation work like grading.

4×4 allows operation on constant slopes of up to 15% in both north-south and east-west layouts; and 4×4’s functionality can adapt to non-constant slopes of up to 20%. Soltec stated in a press release that this functionality, which has been validated through field tests. 4×4 is also compatible with ground screw piles. Soltec has developed customizable software to assist solar contractors with project pile layouts.
