Solar Solution installs arrays at three schools near Washington National Cathedral

Washington, D.C., solar installer Solar Solution has completed a portfolio of projects on the Cathedral Close. Three independent schools that share a campus with the Washington National Cathedral now host solar arrays that use panels from Silfab Solar and microinverters from Enphase.

The projects for National Cathedral School, St. Albans School and Beauvoir School began as an idea from a National Cathedral Student in 2019. The projects align with each school’s commitment to environmental stewardship and serves as a model for other educational institutions to embrace sustainable energy practices. In total, Solar Solution installed 1,100 panels with the goal of producing over 552,200 kWh annually.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to work with Beauvoir, National Cathedral School and St. Albans School and bring solar energy to these institutions,” said JD Elkurd, Solar Solution’s CEO. “This project demonstrates the possibilities of a greener future for Washington, D.C. and serves as an example to the rest of the country.”

This solar installation project on the Cathedral campus represents a significant milestone in Solar Solution’s commitment to advancing solar energy across the D.C. metro area. The company looks forward to more partnerships that contribute to creating a more sustainable and resilient future.
