The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) today said that a jury verdict was reached yesterday in its favor in the case of Alice Stebbins v. California Public Utilities Commission, case number CGC-20-588148, in the Superior Court of the State of California, County of San Francisco.
The jury found in favor of the CPUC and rejected the claims of Ms. Stebbins that she was fired in August 2020 for whistleblowing. The verdict confirms the CPUC’s longstanding commitment to the State of California’s merit system in hiring.
