CPS America announced at its 2023 Product Innovation Day that the CPS 250/275-kW three-phase string inverter received a 20% price cut to start 2023. In a time of rising prices, the CPS America team has applied innovative solutions to this flagship product to continue cost reductions and decrease the price without compromising on quality.
Nearly 200 people gathered at the CPS America headquarters in Dallas, Texas, for the second-annual CPS America Product Innovation Day. Customers and key partners joined the team to hear product announcements, participate in a robust Q&A session and tour the headquarters.
General manager Bryan Wagner kicked off Innovation Day showcasing the future of large-scale solar using string inverters which he feels will displace the more traditional central inverter used on utility-scale plants in the U.S. today.
“The benefits of string use are numerous. From maximizing energy harvest to minimizing downtime impacts to significantly increased design flexibility, string inverters in large-scale solar just make sense,” said Wagner. “And the CPS 250/275kW inverter is the ideal choice for solar plants from 2 MW to 2 GW. We are pleased we can help forward-thinking solar installers and developers by offering this price cut on the CPS 250/275-kW inverter.”
The CPS America team also presented its growing 800-V lineup, with an in-depth look at the advantages of 800-V systems. They discussed cost-per-watt reductions, reducing design complexity with more power output per inverter, and overall higher lifetime energy yields through operations.
“We are thrilled with our growing USA team and operations and with our product lineup this year,” continued Wagner. “These are the right products for the current solar market. And we’re excited at the direction our R&D teams are headed to address solar plants of the future.”
The CPS 250/275-kW three-phase string inverter offers full power output up to 42°C, 12 MPPTs, 36 fused or 24 unfused inputs and is UL 1741-SB listed.
