Entegrity Energy Partners starts second phase of solar project at Arkansas wastewater treatment plant

City of Alma, Arkansas has decided to continue its partnership with Entegrity Energy Partners to implement the second phase of their first solar project, a 520-kW array at the wastewater treatment plant. LED lighting upgrades throughout several city facilities and the new 625-kW array, both currently underway, will save the City over $45,000 annually after installation is complete.

Mayor Jerry Martin spoke on the project’s development, stating, “From this project’s launch, we’ve maintained the goals to free up funds, reduce taxpayer burden, and invest in our community. Since our City’s energy is split between two utility companies, we knew that separate arrays would be required to create the most savings. We’re thrilled to not only produce more solar energy but reduce our overall consumption with the efficient LED lights in city facilities.”

Employing solar energy will reduce the City’s annual greenhouse gas emissions by 904 metric tons. This sum is equivalent to the emissions from consuming 88,000 gallons of gas or powering 164 homes for a year.

“This solar project allows Alma to hedge against future inflation in energy costs while shifting to clean energy for City facilities. It’s a win for the community and serves as yet another example of how the energy sector is changing,” added John Coleman, Entegrity’s Regional Director.

GOODBYE OLD WAYS

It’s okay to break tradition. Today’s electricity needs are more sophisticated than ever, making traditional power a thing of the past. Switching to solar helps you get with the times while saving the planet.

GREEN CONSCIOUSs

Traditional power has adverse environmental effects from the coal and natural gases combusted during production. Solar offers all of the power with no extra cost and no harmful polutions..

POWERED BY THE SUN

Rather than digging up fossil fuels, solar energy is clean power from the sun - a renewable fuel source that won't go out in our lifetime. Every kW lowers your carbon footprint by over 3K pounds annually.
